Winter Coat

Misha yawned and sat up in bed. Sleepily she rubbed her eyes. The young fox glanced over at her bedroom window, and smiled when she saw the white powdery snow drifting down. It was the first snow of winter. Misha stood up and hurried over to her mirror, checking herself in it.
"Right on time," she said softly.
Instead of her normal pale blue colour, her fur had been changing over the last couple of weeks, growing denser and deeper in hue. It happened every year, and now, with the first snows, her winter coat was fully developed. Misha hugged herself, she felt so snug and warm, and the deep blue looked so wonderful on her. Quickly Misha ran from her room, eager to show her family her new look. It was no wonder the young fox loved this special time of year...
