Why do the days rush by?
The sun racing through the sky.
The time is past, and forever more is gone.

Like memories of those we know.
Of friends who come, and friends who go.
It's the journey that makes us all strong.

Yet one day the path must end.
And sorrow will be the friend.
Of those who helped carry us far.

And into that long dark night.
We are but a soul in flight.
Who finally reached out for our star.
