"It's perfect, Rosa!"
Hisspan and the others crowded around the advertisement poster prototype Rosa Black had designed for the upcoming play, Sleuth Serpent in Transylvania. The poster depicted the titular detective and his assistant, Mia, standing bravely together in a clearing in a dark forest, while a familiar vampire, werewolf, and mummy peered out at them from behind the trees. Up above the forest, a dark castle on a hill and the full moon were both visible against the night sky, where the play's title appeared.
Everyone was in the middle of a rehearsal session, so they were still in costume. Hisspan grinned as she spied herself in the poster, cloaked almost beyond recognition in mummy wrappings. The wrappings were just tight enough to cover her properly, yet just loose enough not to restrict her movement; Cynthia had made them just right.
Beside her, her husband Wolfen rubbed his hands together. His werewolf guise was a little different from everyone else's costumes, since it basically consisted of him taking off all his clothes, putting some gel in his fur, and equipping fake fangs and claws. He felt uncomfortable without the Infinity Gauntlet, but none could deny how intimidating he looked.
Noah and Marybeth had just about pushed their way to the front of the crowd. They looked perfect as Sleuth Serpent and Mia, the hero and heroine of the story. Even Christina Black, playing the vampire, couldn't help but crack a smile.
"I think everyone likes it," Hisspan observed. "Make some copies and we'll put them up around town later."
A whistle directed everyone's attention to Tashako, the director. "One minute, everyone! We begin rehearsing the vampire's introduction scene in one minute! Take your places!"
As everyone rushed into position, Hisspan pulled down her wrappings just enough to give Rosa a quick kiss on the cheek, then ran off herself. Rosa couldn't help but blush as she took the poster back. She was confident that this play would shake the whole Valley, and she was glad to be a key contributor to it...
